Single instancing – Only a centralised system can determine whether data has been placed already and avoid duplication. Thus, storage space is optimised and costs are minimised.
Retention Management – The archive monitors retention periods for archived documents and supports application systems which do not provide this function. Retention periods can be optimally controlled.
Full text/attribute search – A powerful search function allows attribute or text-based search with maintenance of access rights. Search can be performed across all information within the archive from data and e-mails to files and ERP documents.
Versioning – A powerful versioning enables the separation of different stages in the lifecycle of documents and allows multiple users to work on the same documents.
Storage Service – Storage Technologies come and go (CD, DVD; WOMR, MO, PDD, UDO, HDD, SAN, NAS, EMC Centera, NetApp Snap Lock, Data Domain appliance). Inboxx hyparchiv operates independency across them all and enables easy migration if necessary.
Access Management – The central rights management supports the definition of user rights, even if the application that has created the archived content is no longer in use. The access management supports both simple group-rights management as well as varied access, using a document-specific protection level.
Rendition service – This ensures the accessibility of information by creating an additional copy in a long-term archiving format such as PDF/A or TIFF which will be always readable in the future.
Omni Access – The archived information is transparently available through the generating application. In addition, independent, access rights protected retrieval is possible through the inboxx hyparchiv clients.
